Senior Asset Manager/Portfolio Management/Special Servicing - Irving, TX
| Basic Function | Position requires proactive asset management and timely resolution of an assigned portfolio of distressed commercial real estate mortgage loans and/or REO properties through application of strong negotiation skills and comprehensive analysis and understanding of the related loan documents, partnership documents, collateral performance and resolution alternatives. Senior Asset Managers are required to work with minimal supervision, assist management with development and implementation of procedures and participate as a mentor to less experienced asset managers. Senior Asset Managers’ portfolios will include larger and most complicated assets (e.g., multiple debt positions, hospitality properties, health care assets, etc.). |
| Primary Duties | Position also requires (i) engagement of and interaction with third party consultants including attorneys, receivers, management companies, appraisers, environmental engineers, and surveyors, and (ii) thorough understanding of and compliance with the governing loan documents, loan servicing agreements, REMIC regulations, investor reporting requirements and state and federal laws governing foreclosures, receivership actions, and bankruptcies. Travel required. |
| Experience | Candidate must have at least fifteen (15) years experience in commercial real estate loan resolutions. Other experience such as real estate development, loan originations and real estate valuation is a plus. |
| Skills | Candidate must have an understanding of complex loan and loan servicing agreements, working knowledge of foreclosure and bankruptcy laws, and experience in managing commercial real estate loans secured by various income-producing property types such as multifamily, retail, office, industrial and hospitality properties. Candidate must have strong analytical, negotiation, communication (both verbal and written), financial and computer skills. |
